Enrichment Workshop for Zoo Keeper Teams

A motivational 2.5–3 hour workshop that combines modern welfare principles with hands-on willow ball creation – simple, natural enrichment that works for almost any species. A great way to energize your team, share inspiration, and create something together that will delight your animals too.

 

Workshop Program

Theory Section (30 minutes)
Short, inspiring presentation based on Keeper's Handbook: From Survival to Thriving – a guidebook created specifically for this workshop.

  • Modern welfare perspective and simple wellbeing indicators
  • Five areas of enrichment and clear S.P.I.D.E.R. framework
  • Safe and meaningful enrichment for daily practice

Each participant receives a printed handbook to return to the topics anytime.

PREZENTACE 

 

Practical Section (1.5–2 hours)

  • Collaborative step-by-step willow ball making
  • Customization options for different animal species
  • Usage methods: food-based, sensory, manipulative

This section naturally serves as team-building – participants collaborate, have fun, and create enrichment they can use immediately.
