Puzzle feeder

This handcrafted puzzle feeder is a complex enrichment item that encourages natural behaviour, develops patience and trains logical thinking. Sliding flaps conceal various openings that can be filled with food, and the animal can only reach it by moving the individual parts correctly. In the 12-flap version, some flaps are designed so that one or two others must be moved first before the way to the next one opens. This creates a real puzzle that keeps the animal occupied for a long time.

The flaps' movement can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the stainless steel bolts and nuts, so the difficulty can be adapted to the strength and experience of the particular animals. The flap nuts are hidden between the top board and the base. To adjust them, simply loosen the central bolt on the underside and remove the top board.

The puzzle feeder can be placed on the ground, attached to a wall or mesh, or hung on ropes. This makes it suitable for a wide range of species and environments.
